Stephane Sessegnon made the 82nd-minute breakthrough and set up the second goal for Nicklas Bendtner in a 2-0 success at the Reebok Stadium - one end of which reverberated to the sound of Wearside voices. And Wickham, who made his full debut in the match, told the club's official website: "The support was brilliant. It was great to see our fans filling the stand behind the goal and singing all the way through - it really pushed the boys on. "I don't know if the fans know just what their support means, but when they're singing and making loads of noise it really helps us on the pitch. "They were superb and you could see just what the result meant to everyone at the end."
