Abby Wambach scored both goals as the United States beat Norway 2-1
in the Algarve Cup.
Wambach scored the opening goal in the 13th minute Friday
when she ran to a pass from Lori Lindsey, beat a defender and fired
a shot into the corner of the net.
Norwegian substitute Isabel Herlovsen evened it in the 61st
with a glancing header past Nicole Barnhart.
Wambach scored the winner from close range in the last minute
of injury time as the Americans made improved to 2-0 at the
tournament in southern Portugal.
The U.S. plays Sweden on Monday in the last round-robin game
before the final on Wednesday.
