Aston Villa moved out of the Premier League relegation zone on Saturday despite throwing away a two-goal halftime lead at West Bromwich Albion to finish with a 2-2 draw.
Chris Brunt got one back for West Brom four minutes after the break with time to place his 15-yard (meter) shot into the top left hand corner, and Nigeria striker Peter Odemwingie equalized with a close-range volley in the 83rd minute at the Hawthorns.
Villa had dominated the first half of the midlands derby with Christian Benteke turning Claudio Yacob to fire in a fierce rising shot past Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster in the 12th.
Gabriel Agbonlahor made it 2-0 to Villa in the 31st with a low drive into the corner for his fifth goal of the season.
