FIFA says Uzbekistan is unable to host the Women's Under-20 World Cup next year.
FIFA says its executive committee took away Uzbekistan's hosting rights because of ''a number of logistical and technical issues.''
Uzbekistan had been awarded the 16-nation tournament in March.
FIFA says it will compensate Uzbekistan by asking it to organize a future FIFA event, or giving ''new development projects.''
FIFA says Japan will step in as host if its government provides guarantees for the tournament.
