Utrecht scored twice in the opening 20 minutes through Nana Asare and Edouard Duplan before Dmitry Bulykin's double and a goal for Andre Ooijer saw Ajax hit back to take a 3-2 lead at half time. However, the home side powered back in front with three goals in five minutes through Daan Bovenberg, Jacob Mulenga and Alsare to wrestle back control. Christian Eriksen scored another for Ajax in the 72nd minute but Anouar Kali's 90th minute goal sealed the win for Utrecht. The result moves Utrecht up into 11th in the overall standings while Ajax remain in fifth. AZ Alkmaar remain top of the league after a convincing 3-0 win over ADO Den Haag. Brett Holman, Adam Maher and Jozy Altidore scored to seal AZ's 10th Eredivisie win of the season. FC Twente thrashed De Graafschap 4-0 and briefly moved into second place before PSV Eindhoven regained second spot in the late kick-off. Peter Wisgerhof gave Twente a 1-0 lead at half time before Luuk de Jong, Ola John, Leroy Fer scored three unanswered goals to seal a convincing win. PSV came from behind to beat Heracles Almelo 4-1 at the Philips Stadion to stay six points behind leaders AZ. Antoine Van der Linden opened the scoring for Heracles in the 12th minute before Ola Toivonen levelled the score in the 49th minute. Jeremain Lens then scored twice in five minutes before completing his hat-trick in the 89th minute to seal the win.
