USWNT stars get 'Simpsonized' ahead of World Cup voyage

The FIFA Women's World Cup is just 30 days away, and The Simpsons have teamed up with FOX Sports to spread the word in their own unique way.
Following in the footsteps of soccer stars such as Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Petr Cech, three members of the U.S. women's national team have been 'Simpsonized' - forwards Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach and Christen Press!
The longest-running scripted show in television history will also begin its next episode on May 10 (8pm ET) with a special, soccer-themed couch gag. The Simpsons' iconic show open will feature Homer as a goaltender and little Maggie taking shots.
This Sunday, for the USWNT's first of three send-off matches (vs Ireland, 2pm ET, LIVE on FOX Sports 1), fans in San Jose will also have the opportunity to take pictures with the Simpsonized USWNT stars in a photobooth, and will see the couch gag live in-stadium!
However, there is no word yet on whether or not Homer is available to referee a game in Canada this summer.
