Ukraine names squad for World Cup qualifiers
Ukraine coach Mykhailo Fomenko will be without injured players Denys Harmash and Yevhen Selin for the team's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and England.
Otherwise, Fomenko is relying on the players who have lifted Ukraine to third place in Group H and in a good position to qualify for next year's tournament in Brazil.
Midfielders Andriy Yarmolenko and Yevhen Konopolyanka, who have each scored two goals in qualification, and experienced captain Anatoliy Tymoschuk were all included.
Denys Dedechko and Dmytro Khomchenovsky have been called up after playing in the Aug. 14 friendly against Israel.
Ukraine is third in the group with 11 points, one behind England and three behind Montenegro, which has played one more game.
