UEFA has fined Europa League clubs PAOK Thessaloniki and Rapid Vienna following violence at a match in Greece last week.
UEFA threatened both clubs with a two-year competition ban Tuesday, and ordered PAOK to pay a ?150,000 ($188,000) fine and play the next three European matches behind closed doors. Rapid was fined ?75,000 ($94,000) and will host one game without spectators.
The penalty was imposed after Rapid fans hurled flares at rival supporters at a Europa League match in Thessaloniki on Thursday. Home fans responded by running onto the field and throwing flares into the stands.
PAOK won the match 2-1 and faces Rapid in the second leg in Austria on Thursday.
The clubs have three days to appeal the ruling.
