Former European Cup winners Hamburg, Aston Villa and Ajax qualified for the knockout round of the UEFA Cup from the same group Thursday - although one of them lost and another didn't play.
Hamburg won 2-0 at Slavia Prague, but Villa and American goalkeeper Brad Guzan lost 2-1 at home to Zilina in Group F. That result wasn't enough for Zilina in its final group game to catch Hamburg, Villa and idle Ajax, though. Those three have six points and advanced to the round of 32.
