Tottenham has signed France goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris from Lyon for 10 million euros ($12.6 million).
Lyon said on its website Friday that the fee could rise to 15 million euros ($18.7 million) and that Lloris had signed a four-year contract.
Tottenham confirmed the deal but gave no details on its website.
The 25-year-old Lloris has played 38 times for France and made 146 appearances for Lyon in Ligue 1, where he twice won the goalkeeper of the year award. He began his playing career with Nice.
