TORONTO (AP) Toronto FC will be without striker Jermain Defoe for two to three weeks due to a groin injury.
The team announced Monday that scans revealed Defoe had a strain. He likely developed the injury last week against D.C. United.
Defoe, who has a team-high 11 goals this season, will miss Wednesday's Major League Soccer All-Star game in Portland, Oregon. Defoe already sat out for Toronto's 2-0 victory over Montreal on Saturday.
