A 10-man Foolad Sepahan of Iran reached the Asian Champions League quarterfinals when it beat Bunyodkor of Uzbekistan 3-1 on Tuesday.
Sepahan midfielder Fabio Januario opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a long-range blast that was followed six minutes later by a close-range score from forward Ibrahima Toure.
Seven minutes into the second half, Toure was sent off. Bunyodkor took advantage of Sepahan's stretched defense to halve the lead in the 56th thanks to defender Sasa Dordevic. But the recently crowned Iran Pro League champion finished with an Hadi Aghily penalty in the 68th.
