Stuart Baxter's two-year contract as Finland coach has ended and won't be renewed.
The Finnish Football Association said Tuesday that assistant Olli Huttunen will temporarily take over for the 2012 European Championship qualifier against San Marino on Nov. 17.
Baxter will remain as a consultant to the national team, but the association plans to appoint a new head coach by the next round of qualifying in 2011.
Finnish media speculated that Baxter had been planning to leave the job for some time. Finland has no points in Group E in Euro 2012 qualifying.
The 57-year-old Briton had previously coached South Africa.
