Spain coach Vicente del Bosque recalled winger Juanma Mata and midfielder Javi Martinez to face the Czech Republic and Lithuania in European Championship qualifying matches.

Mata and Martinez had been playing regularly for Spain's under-21 team since helping Spain win the World Cup. They replace the injured Pedro Rodriguez and Cesc Fabregas.

Del Bosque also included Athletic Bilbao defender Andoni Iraola with Carles Puyol also unavailable with a leg injury.

''No one has a fixed spot on the squad, but it is true we are looking for the greatest stability (possible) without ignoring other players who are playing well,'' Del Bosque said Friday. ''We maintain the squad and we don't have motives to change.''

Spain will rely on its main players, with David Villa spearheading an attack led by midfielder Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.

Del Bosque said the Czech Republic was Spain's ''greatest threat'' in the group.

''We could have a difficult time because it is team with good physical and technical conditioning,'' the former Real Madrid coach said. ''It is a strong team and one of the references in Europe in recent years.''

Spain, which has won all three games and is in first place in its group, plays the Czech Republic in Granada on March 25 and Lithuania in Kaunas on March 29.
