Spain midfielder Xavi believes that his side can use last year's Confederations Cup experience to their advantage and get their own back over Brazil.

Vicente Del Bosque's side reached the final of last summer's competition but were blown away at the Maracana Stadium as Brazil ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a double from Fred and a strike from Neymar.

Should the two sides finish top of Group A and Group B respectively, then they would meet again in the semi-finals, but a runner-up spot for one of the sides could see them go head-to-head in the last 16 providing the other has won their group.

Xavi thinks the five games they played out in Brazil has given them a better idea of what to expect this time around and says he is keen for a rematch between the two.

"Here's hoping! Anything could happen, but football always gives you the opportunity to get revenge," he said.

"Hopefully it's at the World Cup and at as late of a stage as possible. It was a game in which everything went against us and they got all the breaks.

"But the whole experience will stand us in good stead for the World Cup. We've had a good taste of the weather and we know what we'll be up against if we face Brazil."
