Substitute Antoine Griezmann connected with Xabi Prieto's centering pass to make it 2-0 in the 70th. Imanol Agirretxe added the third in the 86th after being set up by Dutch midfielder Jeffrey Sarpong.
Sociedad improved to 10 points, while Deportivo stayed second-bottom with four points - one above Zaragoza.
