Six FC Sion players have been banned for five matches each by the Swiss League for using a civil court to force their right to play.
The league says its disciplinary commission ruled that the six violated Swiss Football Association statutes by repeatedly petitioning a non-sports tribunal after their registrations were refused.
The six players, who can appeal, are: Stefan Glarner, Pascal Feindouno, Jose Goncalves, Gabri, Billy Ketkeophomphone and Mario Mutsch.
Sion signed them in breach of a FIFA transfer ban, prompting UEFA to kick the club out of the Europa League.
