The Confederation of African Football says Tanzania's Simba FC and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco will play a one-off match in neutral Cairo to decide which club replaces disqualified TP Mazembe in the group stage of the African Champions League.
Africa's ruling body says the playoff will take place at the Egyptian capital's Petrosport Stadium on May 28.
Defending African club champion TP Mazembe of Congo was disqualified from the tournament last weekend for fielding an ineligible player in its last 32 tie with Simba in April. Mazembe went on to beat Wydad in the last 16.
Mazembe, a four-time African champion and winner of the last two Champions League titles, said it would appeal its disqualification from the continent's top club competition.
