The delay affects games against Bolton, Preston and Manchester City. Shrimpers director Brian Fagan told BBC Radio Lancashire: "Let's put it in to perspective. It is a year-long project and we are a couple of weeks behind. "We have failed to hit the target. We are disappointed but I think we have done a pretty good job getting here. "It is a big blow to us for financial reasons, publicity reasons and for the fans who were looking forward to it." The first game to be played at the Globe Arena will now be against Coventry on August 10 in the first round of the Carling Cup.
