FIFA President Sepp Blatter is skipping the Champions League final in London to prepare for his appearance at a bribery scandal hearing on Sunday.
Blatter's adviser Brian Alexander says he will not attend the Barcelona vs Manchester United match at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Blatter would traditionally attend UEFA's showpiece club match, where he could have met leaders of 53 European football federations who have votes in the FIFA presidential election scheduled Wednesday.
Blatter and his only rival Mohamed bin Hammam have been summmoned before FIFA's ethics committee on Sunday morning in Zurich.
Bin Hammam is accused of bribing Caribbean voters, and Blatter is alleged to have ignored corruption attempts.
