York City forward Michael Coulson has been ruled out for the remainder of the season for the League Two club.
Scans have revealed the player has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
The 24-year-old was taken off on a stretcher after injuring his knee in the 1-0 victory over Accrington last month.
But, although he was diagnosed with medial ligament and cartilage damage after the match, it was thought he would only be out until the new year.

However, following scans and a meeting with a specialist on Wednesday, it was established that the injury was worse than initially feared.
