Rangers fought back from a goal down to rout Motherwell 4-1 with an ruthless second-half display on Saturday that extended the Glasgow side's perfect start to its title defense.
Nick Blackman gave Motherwell the lead just before halftime but the champions hit back through Steven Naismith, Steven Davis, Kenny Miller and Vladimir Weiss in a blistering second-half spell.
It gave Rangers an eighth straight win ahead of next week's Old Firm derby against Celtic, which defends its own 100 percent record against Dundee United on Sunday.
But Rangers manager Walter Smith has injury worries, with Lee McCulloch out for at least two weeks, James Beattie and Kirk Broadfoot still sidelined and major offseason signing Nikica Jelavic facing around three months out of action.
