The South African Football Association says it has reached an agreement with Pitso Mosimane for Carlos Alberto Parreira's former assistant to become the new national coach.
SAFA president Kristen Nematandani says ''I believe we have found a winning combination'' and confirmed the details of Mosimane's contract had been agreed. He said the parties just have to sign the contract.
Nematandani says Mosimane had now been recommended by SAFA's technical committee and could be introduced as the new South Africa coach on Thursday.
Earlier this month SAFA bosses were accused of bureaucracy when they said that 45-year-old Mosimane would have to be approved by a technical committee despite the fact that he was the only candidate.
