The shot-stopper made just one appearance for the Toffees, off the bench in the Carling Cup, during a five-year stay at Goodison Park after being signed as an 18-year-old from Cambridge. Ruddy produced a hard-working display against his old side in Saturday's 1-1 draw, pulling off a string of fine saves. The 25-year-old, whose performances for the Canaries this season have reignited talk of him playing for England, told The Sun: "It was nice to come back and produce a battling performance. "There was none of having to prove myself, it was just nice to come back and see everyone. "When you go back people make a deal about it, but I expected a few fans not to even remember me."
