Blackburn have issued an apology to Sam Allardyce for derogatory comments made against him by former boss Steve Kean.
Kean was filmed making the remarks by Rovers supporters on a pre-season trip to Hong Kong in 2011.
The comments were in relation to the alleged managerial methods of Allardyce, who was sacked as Blackburn manager the previous December.
Kean - formerly Allardyce's first-team coach - stepped up to replace him but resigned last September after an unsuccessful 21-month tenure which saw the club relegated to the Championship.
Allardyce, now in charge at West Ham, reportedly accepted a substantial out-of-court damages payment over the affair last week.
