Cristiano Ronaldo may be favored to win the Ballon D'Or, but the Portugal forward says he is not sure if he will attend the awards ceremony.

The Real Madrid star told Europa Press agency ''there are still some days to go. I am still talking about it with the club and I will see if I go.''

Ronaldo was speaking at the opening of a museum in his honor on his home island of Madeira.

Ronaldo is having an outstanding year and is tipped to end Lionel Messi's four-year run of claiming the award and beat out fellow finalist Franck Ribery when the winner is announced on Jan. 13.

He says ''it is only a trophy, we'll see what happens.''

In October, FIFA President Sepp Blatter said he preferred Messi while making fun of Ronaldo's attitude and haircut.
