AS Roma capped its early-season turnaround by winning its Champions League group for the first time with a 2-0 victory over Bordeaux on Tuesday.
"It was more important to win the game and to advance. Finishing first or second didn't matter as much, but it's certainly pleasing to be first," Roma coach Luciano Spalletti said.
