Second-half goals from Angel Rangel and Stephen Dobbie gave the Swans a morale-boosting win ahead of their maiden Premier League campaign, with Lita, signed earlier in the day from Middlesbrough, making his debut off the bench. And Rodgers was pleased by what he had seen from his £1.75million man. "I am delighted to have signed Leroy," he said. "He is a great addition to the group. He has blended in well and just wants to play. "He went through the stringent medical process that we have here and he completed that and jumped out to play tonight without a training session. "Tonight I think you saw his strength, and his movement and pace threatened in behind. I believe he will be a great addition to this group over the next few years." Rodgers, who also expects to complete the signing of Wayne Routledge from Newcastle on Thursday, was delighted by his side's performance against a strong Celtic side that included the likes of Scott Brown, Gary Hooper and Beram Kayal. "It (pre-season) has had that build up of intensity as it went along and tonight proved to be the perfect exercise for us. "A big thank you to Celtic for coming down, their season has already started and they have a game at the weekend so to come and offer us the exercise they did, I am very grateful for that. They are a good side with talented players. "Mentally the group is improving, the players have worked immensely hard, especially the last two weeks. "The conditioning of the players was apparent as the game went on as we got stronger as it went on. "That's a good sign at this stage. We have another tough game on the weekend (against Real Betis) and we will have a real good week before the Manchester City game and I hope we will be in good nick for that."
