Rangers v Dunfermline preview
Rangers are boosted by the news that defender Steven Whittaker has recovered from injury. Whittaker had suffered an Achilles knock in the midweek friendly against Hamburg but is fit for the clash at Ibrox, along with forward Kyle Lafferty (back spasm) and midfielder Alejandro Bedoya (shin gash). Midfielder Gregg Wylde is set to return from suspension but defenders Carlos Bocanegra, Sasa Papac and Lee Wallace and midfielder Jamie Ness remain on the sidelines. Joe Cardle is rated 50-50 to be fit as injury-hit Dunfermline travel to SPL leaders Rangers. Paul Burns (knee) has joined the list of absentees, Austin McCann (hamstring/back) is set to be out for a further three to four weeks and Nick Phinn (hamstring) is likely to be absent again despite making his first appearance of the season in the 3-3 draw with Aberdeen last weekend. Craig Easton, Jason Thomson, Kevin Rutkiewicz, Steven Bell and Steven McDougall all remain on the sidelines, meaning the Pars will have to rely on youth.
