Rami close to Milan switch
Valencia president Amadeo Salvo has confirmed that talks have been held about a deal to take Adil Rami to AC Milan.
The French centre-back has previously been linked with a number of Premier League sides and Rubin Kazan in Russia, but he now appears set to move to Italy.
Reports have suggested that Rami will head to the San Siro in January on an initial six-month loan with a view to the transfer being made permanent in the summer.
Salvo insists that nothing has been finalised yet, but he expects an agreement to be reached to suit all parties.
"There is nothing closed, neither from the player or from us," Salvo has been quoted as saying in the Spanish press.
"We know that in the football world anything can happen, but considering the situation with the player, this is a good solution.
"I think that if everything is positive, we could close (the deal) soon, but I don't know.
"It's not only up to us, but also the player and Milan."
