A 55th-minute goal from Otman Bakkal was all PSV had to show for their efforts after Marcus Berg had hit the post in the first half. However, it proved enough to keep them one point clear of nearest challengers FC Twente, who were 2-0 winners at Excelsior. Theo Janssen scored both goals for Twente, the second from the penalty spot, with the dismissal of Kaj Ramsteijn capping a frustrating afternoon for the home side. Ajax lost ground in the title race as Timothy Derijck's goal three minutes from time maintained ADO Den Haag's impressive home record this season with a 3-2 win. ADO have now lost just twice in 14 league matches at the Kyocera Stadion and twice led before Derijck's winner settled it. Frantisek Kubik (31) and Lex Immers (76) were the other ADO scorers but their goals were cancelled out by strikes from Jan Vertonghen (70) and Christian Eriksen (85). Feyenoord's recent recovery hit the skids as Roda JC ended the Rotterdam club's six-match unbeaten run with a 3-0 win. Anouar Hadouir gave Roda an early lead and Mads Junker added a second just before half-time before Feyenoord's fate was sealed by a Diego Biseswar own goal.
