PSG defender Serge Aurier reportedly arrested in Paris
PARIS --
Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier has reportedly been arrested following an argument with police.
According to several French media outlets quoting police sources, Aurier was placed in custody on Monday morning after he insulted police officers following a night out in a Paris night club.
Le Parisien newspaper reported that Aurier was out with a group of friends near the Champs-Elysees when the altercation happened.
PSG officials said the club will wait until receiving further information before making any comment on the incident, "which did not take place during a competition period."
Aurier was suspended for six weeks in February after a video emerged on social media showing him making derogatory comments about PSG coach Laurent Blanc.
