PSG defender Alex keen to extend deal at the Parc de Princes

Paris Saint-Germain defender Alex insists he wants to stay at the Parc des Princes beyond this summer.
The 31-year-old has been a crucial member of the PSG squad since joining from Chelsea in 2012.
But, with his current deal due to expire in the summer, he could be heading for the exit door with the French giants linked with a number of possible new recruits.
However, Alex is hoping that he will earn a new deal with Laurent Blanc's side.
"I am a PSG player and I give my very best for the club, and I believe I will remain a PSG player next season," he told L'Equipe.
Alex was part of the PSG side which secured a 3-1 win over his former club Chelsea in their Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday.
Despite their win, Alex insists that they have a lot of work still to do to secure a semi-final place.
"It is difficult to say we are now favourites," he said.
"To me it remains 50-50. The return leg at Stamford Bridge will be difficult, we will have to be perfectly focused because I expect a start to the match when Chelsea will try to put us under big pressure to quickly score."
