Portugal striker Liedson returning to Corinthians

Portugal striker Liedson is set to rejoin Brazilian club Corinthians after seven seasons with Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting says in a statement on its website Monday that it has reached an agreement with Corinthians to transfer the player effective on Feb. 7.

Liedson played for Corinthians for a season before moving to Sporting in 2003. He also previously played for Flamengo and Coritiba.

Financial details on the transfer were not immediately released.

The 33-year-old Liedson was born in Brazil but became naturalized Portuguese and has been a regular for the national team since making his debut in 2009.
