Poland's riot police are being fitted with special protective suits to shield them from sticks, stones and other possible attacks using blunt objects during the 2012 European Championship.
An armour-like, impact-resistant suit in white and black colors has been developed by the Institute of Security Technology Moratex in the central city of Lodz.
Moratex expert Grazyna Redlich said Tuesday that the suit comprises a large helmet, vests, gloves and arm and leg protectors.
Polish authorities have recently had to schedule matches in empty stadiums without fans because of rioting.
Poland will co-host Euro 2012 with Ukraine from June 8 to July 1.
