The president of Poland's football association says he will not run for another term in upcoming elections.
Grzegorz Lato has faced heavy pressure to resign after the Polish national team failed to advance out of the group stage at the 2012 European Championship that Poland co-hosted with Ukraine.
Lato announced Tuesday that he would not seek re-election to his position when the federation votes on Oct. 26.
He says ''everybody demanded changes so they should be happy with my decision.''
He adds that he is making the decision ''for the good of'' the federation and Polish football.
