Poland has expelled a Russian football fan after he confessed to setting off a firecracker in a stadium during a European Championship match.
The man was the third Russian fan to be ordered to leave the country for violating laws at football grounds. They are all banned from entering European Union's visa-free zone for five years.
The office of Warsaw province governor Jacek Kozlowski said Tuesday the man was convicted in a fast-track trial on charges of setting off an explosive device during Saturday's Russia-Greece game in Warsaw.
Two other Russia fans were expelled Friday for their role in street fights and for running onto the pitch during the Poland-Russia game last week in Warsaw.
