Former Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira says the Chilean soccer federation has contacted him about possibly becoming the country's national coach.
The Chilean coaching job is vacant after Marcelo Bielsa resigned this month.
Parreira says there has been no offer although the federation is expected to contact him to negotiate. The Brazilian told the GloboEsporte.com website he is ''interested,'' but would need to discuss the matter.
Parreira led Brazil to the 1994 World Cup title in the United States and coached host South Africa at this year's World Cup. His team was eliminated in the group stage. Chile was knocked out by Brazil in the second round.
