Pardew enjoying French flavour

Pardew this summer drafted in Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan and Mehdi Abeid to join Hatem Ben Arfa on Tyneside and, with Cheick Tiote and Demba Ba also French-speaking, there is a growing Gallic influence at St James' Park. However, Pardew believes the one thing that genuinely unites his most recent acquisitions is their ability to play football. He said: "They are just good players. Whether they are French, African or Brazilian, it doesn't matter, they are just good players. "We happen to have a market in France which we know very, very well, and the players we have signed from there have been hugely successful so far."
