Panathinaikos striker Djibril Cisse has filed a lawsuit against the chairman of Greek league leader Olympiakos following violence at a match last weekend.

The French forward on Friday accused chairman Vangelis Marinakis of publicly insulting him after the match and failing to stop Olympiakos fans running on to the pitch and assaulting his teammates.

Olympiakos beat Panathinaikos 2-1 in the Feb. 19 game, extending its lead to 10 points, but was later fined ?140,000 ($192,500) and ordered to play one match without fans because of the violence.

Fearing renewed violence, fans have been banned from the March 6 Greek Basketball Cup final between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos, when the venue will only be open to school children.
