Oman scored two first half goals to secure a 2-0 win over Myanmar in the first leg of their World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
Amad Ali Al Hosni opened the scoring at the Al Seeb Sports Stadium in the 22nd minute before Ismail Al Ajmi doubled the lead for Paul Le Guen's side in the 79th. The former France international, who coached Cameroon at the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals, will be looking for his charges to make the most of their two-goal advantage when the return leg is played in Myanmar on Thursday.
