Ollie eyeing 40-point mark
With 10 games to go, the Seasiders have already accrued 32 points, a tally better than many predicted for them following their promotion from the Championship last year and one which would have been enough to keep them in the top flight in 2009-10. It seems the required total to beat the drop is likely to be much higher this term, though, and Holloway feels his players must hunt down at least another eight points from their remaining fixtures. Next up is the visit of champions Chelsea to Bloomfield Road on Monday night, and the 47-year-old said: "I will still try to attack - we need to win the game. "I would take a draw if someone was to give it to me, but we want to go and try to win the game. We need three points if we can get them. "We will probably need at least two more wins and two more draws to stay up and we have got 10 games to try to do that." Chelsea have had an inconsistent campaign by their standards and appear to be out of the title race, but they were boosted by a 2-1 victory over leaders Manchester United on Tuesday. Carlo Ancelotti now has £50million January acquisition Fernando Torres alongside Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka as striking options and Holloway is confident the Blues could yet be crowned champions of Europe this season - not that it means his own side will take a conservative approach against them. "Obviously I admire their strengths, although he (Ancelotti) has probably got too many choices to be honest - because long term, three won't go into two, unless you change the shape and the style," Holloway said. "But as we saw the other day, they are a very good unit and a good team, and on their day they could probably win any one of the top competitions. "Can they win the Premier League? That they are struggling, but they could easily win the Champions League. "But we have got to take them on - little Blackpool - and we will try to dent them and hurt them, catch them on the break if we can." Blackpool will be without their top scorer DJ Campbell and captain Charlie Adam for Monday night's contest. Campbell begins a three-match suspension after he was sent off in the 4-0 defeat at Wolves last Saturday, while Adam serves the second of his two-game ban for picking up 10 yellow cards this season. Defender Stephen Crainey, who has not made a first-team appearance since January 22 due to an ankle injury, is in line to return against the Blues and midfielder Elliot Grandin, absent for the last two games with a hamstring problem, has an outside chance of being involved. However, the match will come too soon for Gary Taylor-Fletcher (hamstring) and Matt Gilks (knee).
