Dominic Oduro scored in the 63rd minute as the Houston Dynamo won the SuperLiga Group A with a testy 1-0 victory over Mexican side Puebla on Wednesday.

Houston finished the group round with seven points and will host Morelia, which finished second in Group B, in a semifinal in early August. Puebla finished second in Group A on six points, and will face Group B winner New England Revolution.

The SuperLiga is a second-tier tournament for North American club teams.

The lone goal came after a free kick that Cam Weaver headed down to Ghanian forward Oduro, who had entered only a minute earlier.

Edgar Lugo had Puebla's best chance to score in the 46th minute, but his shot from the middle of the box went off the far post and was cleared by the Dynamo.

The match was interrupted by 11 yellow cards and four red cards, and both teams finished with nine players on the field.

Houston's Danny Cruz was sent off in the 77th minute after earning his second yellow card, and Puebla's Melvin Brown was sent off in the 84th after his second yellow.

Puebla's Alvaro Gonzalez followed him out in the 88th minute after he was shown a red card for punching Houston's Adrian Serioux, and Oduro capped the sending offs after getting his yellow card in the final minute of regulation time.
