Striker Jong Tae Se, the star of North Korea's national team, is joining German second-division club Bochum.

Bochum said Jong signed a two-year contract on Friday with an option for a third year.

The 26-year-old joins Bochum from Kawasaki Frontale of Japan's J-League. Bochum gave no financial details of the deal.

Jong has been nicknamed ''the People's Rooney,'' after England forward Wayne Rooney.
