Nolan: We need Toon Army's support

Expectations on Tyneside had risen to new heights after they crushed Aston Villa 6-0 in their previous home game a fortnight ago. But fans were left stunned as Ian Holloway's team inflicted their first defeat in 26 matches at St James' Park. Nolan, though, believes the results have to be put in perspective. "We didn't get too carried away two weeks ago, and we're going to ask the fans to do the same again," he told nufcTV. "We're going to ask them to stay with us. We knew there were going to be times like this throughout the season - it's happened earlier than we wanted or anticipated but we've got 32 games to go. "We're not going to start worrying. We're just going to keep doing the right things, keep chomping at the bit and hopefully keep building this club slowly but surely. "We've got to look at the big picture here and we've got to realise where we've come in such a short time over the last two years. "We're delighted to be back but we know how tough it's going to be and we know how tough it's going to be to remain here."
