No fan power for Marseille
Reigning champions Marseille travel to PSG in the big game of this weekend's Ligue 1 programme, but will make the journey without their fans.
There have been several clashes between the two sets of fans over recent seasons, and a PSG fan died in March after trouble brewed following a game between the two in Paris.
There had been rumours the visitors would send a shadow side out in protest but president Jean-Claude Dassier told the club website: "There was never any question of a boycott. That was never on the agenda.
"We will send the right team to the Parc des Princes. The best way to make our point in Paris is to try to win the game. It will not be easy because they are having a good year but believe me, we will do all we can."
PSG's Brazilian midfielder Nene still expects a wonderful atmosphere at the Parc des Princes on Sunday, and said: "These are the games every player wants to play in. It's like Corinthians-Palmeiras in Brazil. They are always fiery games and I hope there will be a great atmosphere. I can't wait."
Shock league leaders Brest go to Lille earlier the same day looking to build on a run of six wins and two draws in their last eight games.
But defender Omar Daf has urged his side not to get carried away.
He told the club website: "It's nice, there is a lot of enthusiasm around the club, the town, in the media, but we are keeping our feet on the ground.
"It can go in any direction. We will keep our humility and that is a good thing, because it can quickly disappear."
They could, indeed, relinquish their hold on top spot before they kick off at the Stadium Lille Metropole, with both Rennes and St Etienne in action on Saturday.
The latter would need to beat Lorient by four clear goals while Rennes, just two points behind, host fallen giants Lyon with coach Frederic Antonetti defending under-pressure opposite number Claude Puel.
Lyon are languishing in mid-table with 15 points from 11 games, but Antonetti said: "I have a lot of respect for (Puel) and what he has achieved in the last few years.
"Claude has a style of play which has proved itself. He has had results, discovered young players - he is one of the best coaches in our league."
Rennes have appealed against defender Kader Mangane's suspension following his red card against Montpellier - and Bordeaux are another team to go into their game with a disciplinary hearing fresh in their minds.
Bordeaux captain Alou Diarra tonight had his suspension for pushing a referee extended from three to six games by the LFP's disciplinary committee. He has already served the initial three matches, meaning he will be available again for the game at home to Lille on November 27.
Rock-bottom Arles host Caen and Auxerre travel to Sochaux in Saturday's other games, while Sunday sees Nancy take on Monaco while Lens host Montpellier and Toulouse are in action at Nice.
