Brazil striker Neymar has escaped punishment from a sports tribunal after a post on his Twitter page accused a referee of being a thief.

Neymar says his page was hacked and the tribunal ruled there was not enough evidence to prove he was responsible.

A tweet posted during a Santos match in which Neymar was not playing accused the referee of being a thief and said he would have to leave the stadium protected by ''a police car'' because of his poor officiating.

After the tweet was reproduced by local media, Neymar quickly deleted it and wrote another message saying that he hadn't posted anything.
