Mullen happy with Marshall swoop

The 20-year-old made 22 appearances for the Millers during a successful loan spell last season, before making the move permanent by signing a two-year deal on Wednesday. "I think that Marcus has earned the contract that we have put to him," Mullen told the club's official website. "When he first arrived from Blackburn he was very patient in waiting for his opportunity and when he got his chance he showed he had the potential to become a very good player. "We are very pleased to now have him on board full time and we are looking forward to working with him." Elsewhere, the Millers have added a home friendly against Hull (July 20) to their pre-season schedule.
