Moratti issues ultimatum for Club World Cup
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti feels "betrayed" by his club's performance in a 3-0 loss to Werder Bremen, and has issued an ultimatum to win the Club World Cup.
Moratti says, "I feel betrayed, as always when you lose. But there are no excuses now. The Club World Cup must be won."
Riddled with injuries, Inter is heading to the tournament in the United Arab Emirates with new manager Rafa Benitez's job on the line.
Asked about Benitez, Moratti responded, "right now I don't want to create problems, neither before nor during the Club World Cup. Then we'll see."
Defenders Maicon and Cristian Chivu appears set to return from injury in the semifinals next week, while goalkeeper Julio Cesar and striker Diego Milito are hoping to come back for the final.
