Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has been given a two-month suspended ban by the French Football Federation following an X-rated outburst.
When Montpellier, which has one of the smallest budgets in the first division, briefly went top of the league last month, Nicollin responded to claims that this was a sign of the league's weakness with a profanity-laced rant.
He was called before the FFF's ethics commission, which announced its decision on Monday.
Nicollin was banned for two months last year after he used a
homophobic term to describe Auxerre midfielder Benoit Pedretti. He
later apologized to Pedretti, who did not pursue the matter.
